In view of this, it has printed four visual designs for a 30sen stamp, and a single design for a RM1 stamp.
In all, there are 800,000 pieces of 30sen stamps; 120,000 pieces (RM1), 45,000 (first-day envelopes) and 1,000 folders.

Pos Malaysia will issue a special collection of stamps and first-day covers featuring energy-efficient buildings on Wednesday.
The special collection would depict images of three buildings in Malaysia that are innovative in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability.
The 30-sen stamp features the Green Energy Office (GEO) building, Pusat Tenaga Malaysia in Bandar Baru Bangi. It is the first government building designed with the capability to generate its own energy from “green sources.”
The Low Energy Office Building which houses the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry is featured on the 50-sen stamp. The building emerged as the winner in the “New & Existing Category” in the Asean Energy Awards 2006.
The Diamond Building, which is designed in an inverted pyramid concept to create extensive shading of the building to reduce heat gained from its sides, is featured on the RM1 stamp.
First-day covers featuring the three stamps are priced RM2.10 each, folders are RM5.50 each and a full set of stamps, first-day covers and the folder is priced at RM43.60.
Pos Malaysia will be introducing limited editions of first-day covers of the stamps featuring three designs – One Malaysia, Unity and People First. These will have a value of 30 sen each and only 400,000 copies of each design will be sold at post offices.
The One Malaysia design shows a 3-D image of the 1Malaysia logo while the background shows the official 1Malaysia logo arranged in the shape of a map of Malaysia.
The Unity stamp illustrates the various races and ethnic groups united as one. The national flag is depicted in the shape of a heart to signify the love of the people for Malaysia.
The People First design depicts citizens in various sectors of society who ensure national security and peace.
When it comes to exploring ways to generate renewable energy, a British couple will go to any lengths to achieve it.
After building an energy-saving and heat-resistant home in Ayer Keroh, Malacca, five years ago, Harry Boswell, 74, and Stephanie Bacon, 68, both participants of the Malaysia My Second Home programme, went on to improve the energy efficiency level even further.
From using only 19% of the electricity that an average Malaysian household utilises, the couple’s home, called Cooltek, now uses a mere 6%.
The extra saving is made possible through the use of photovoltaic panels that are mounted on the roof to collect solar energy which is then converted into electricity.
The couple has, since then, managed to slash their electricity bill from RM250 to about RM60 a month. This is despite their house having several air conditioning units which are on 24-hours-a-day.
Aspiring singers who are fans of Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui can take part in a singing competition in memory of the Hong Kong entertainment legends.
The In Memory of Legends Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui Singing Competition is open to those aged 18 and above.
There will be RM60,000 worth of prizes to be won. It is presented by Sports Toto and organised by Oneworld Production.
The collection of 16 stamps will feature Malaysia’s valuable architectural heritage of the 13 states and be in 50 sen denomination.
Themed ‘Conservation of Environment’, the series offer stamps of three designs namely Clean Water, Go Green and Fresh Air, representing efforts to conserve marine life, the rainforests and the air respectively.
The collection will be made available in the 30 sen (the Clean Water design only) and 50 sen denominations (Go Green and Fresh Air designs only).
A First Day Cover bearing the three postage stamps and a special rubber stamp of its date of issue will also be available to collectors at RM1.60.The cover will be on sale at all Pos Malaysia branches for just one day.
