PM: Tight screening of passengers arriving at airports vital

Malaysia needs to impose very tight screening on passengers arriving at airports especially on those coming from the United States and several other countries affected by the influenza A (H1N1) pandemic, says Prime Minister.

The problem with an open economy like ours is that it makes this more difficult as they could be coming from anywhere and not necessarily where they initially started their journey.

PM urged others who were on the same flight as the two Malaysians infected with the virus to report to the Health Department or the nearest hospital.
