Ex-PPC chief to rescue Penang’s iconic tourist attraction

Former Penang Port Commission (PPC) chairman has agreed to help oversee the running of the ferry service should the state government decide to take over the operation from the Penang Port Sdn Bhd.

Penang Chief Minister said Datuk Syed Aidid had been asked to meet current PPC chairman next week.

When he was the PPC chairman from 1988 to 1992, the ferry service was still making money. I want to show the relevant parties that we are serious about taking over the iconic ferry service.
