A (H1N1): 20 new cases, taking total to 144

Another 20 Influenza A (H1N1) cases were reported in Malaysia, of which 16 are imported while four are local transmitted, said Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Ismail Merican.

He said the 20 new cases involved 13 Malaysians and seven foreigners - one Vietnamese, one German, one Australian, one Japanese, one American and two Indonesians.

“The total number of patients who are still being treated at hospitals are 42 and all of them are showing good response to the treatment without any complications,” he said in a statement here Monday.
