Penang Bridge Sdn Bhd (PBSB) is now offering free towing services for motorcycles which break down or experience a flat tyre on the bridge.
The move was aimed at preventing unscrupulous mechanics from imposing exorbitant charges to fix flat tyres on the bridge. Some mechanics have been charging between RM25 and RM30 to replace the inner tube of motorcycle tyres when the cost is only about RM10 to RM12 at workshops.
