RAPID Penang has extended its Route 101 bus service from the Weld Quay bus terminal to Teluk Bahang effective Tuesday. The route previously ended at Jalan Sungai Satu in Batu Ferringhi, Penang.
With the extension of the route, the Route 105 service which took commuters from Batu Ferringhi to Teluk Bahang has been cancelled. Rapid Penang said in a statement that the 22 wheelchair-friendly buses ply Route 101 with an average frequency range of 10 minutes and bus fares of RM1.40 to RM4 depending on the distance travelled.
